Jaguar Safari Pantanal, Brazil

Jaguar Safari

Our trips here depart from Cuiaba (CGB), Brazil.
On the day of the start of the safari, we meet you at the airport or hotel to begin the journey.
We recommend arriving early in the morning, no later than 11.00. We prefer an early departure to go from Cuiaba to Poconé which will take about 1.5 hours (100 km).
From the capital of the Pantanal (Poconé) we continue our route on the Transpantaneira for 147 km towards Porte Jofre. Since it is a small road, the drive takes about 3.5-4 hours.
After this long drive, it is a boat ride of up to 2 hours to the lodge.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price.

About our jaguar safari

The best time for jaguars is from late May to mid-November during the dry season. During the dry season, water levels are low, temperatures are warm, and many wild animals, including the jaguar, are found near the rivers. It provides excellent opportunities to observe and photograph the jaguars. All our jaguar safaris are carried out by boat from Porte Jofre. The region near Porte Jofre has the highest density of jaguars in the world. In addition to jaguars, we will encounter a variety of other wild animals such as caiman, capybara, howler monkey, giant river otters and a variety of bird species.
